What Are Pre-Employment Services?

RT Industries helps school-aged students and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities discover their strengths, explore career possibilities, and build the skills they need to find and keep meaningful jobs in the community. Our pre-employment team walks alongside every participant from exploration to employment, making sure no one takes that journey alone.

Who We Serve

Pre-employment services are coordinated through Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) or your local County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Individuals work with their OOD VR Counselor or County Board SSA to authorize services and select RT as their provider. Services are available to students through aging adults.

RT's pre-employment supports are provided by Employment Discovery Specialists.

Employers

RT partners with local businesses to provide dependable work teams, helping companies get important tasks done while creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Businesses that partner with RT enter into a contract detailing requested services. This service is provided at a cost based on hours worked, which includes both the work team and on-site supervision.
