About RT Industries

Our Story

RT Industries was founded in 1974 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a single purpose — to promote the welfare and needs of adults with disabilities in Miami County, Ohio. Over the past 50 years, RT has grown from a small local organization into a full-service provider of adult day services, employment supports, and transportation, serving hundreds of individuals across Miami County and neighboring communities. In 2018, RT completed a transition to fully independent operations, marking the beginning of a new chapter focused entirely on community connection, inclusion, and helping every person live their best life. Our Approach

At RT, we believe every person is unique and that services should reflect that. Our approach is person-centered, meaning every plan is built around the individual — their goals, their interests, their strengths, and what they want their life to look like. We don't want to simply be in the community. We want to help people engage with the community in meaningful ways. RT Industries has been CARF Accredited since 2012, receiving three-year maximum certifications each survey period. This accreditation also allows RT to provide OOD services. RT is also DODD Certified since 2018, also receiving three-year maximum certifications each survey period.
